From what I have seen in my five years here, Cal Poly Pomona is a wonderful school. I really enjoy going to class because of the positive learning environment, the campus is gorgeous, and I believe that I'm getting an excellent overall education. Lately there has been alot of turmoil on campus, but I have not been affected. I believe it depends on your major and what college you're in. I know that the College of Business has been having alot of problems, but I believe it stops there. As of right now for those who are thinking about this university, your best bet would be architecture, engineering, science, hospitality management and agricultural related majors. It seems that Cal Poly Pomona is excelling in these subjects. Any other, go to a different school because you'd be wasting your time. As for some positive points that can be included about CPP: 1st, I believe we have some of the best professors with the majority of them having Dr. in front of their names2nd, classes are very small, especially in core classes3rd, tuition is excellent compared to other schools, especially for the quality of education.4th, the staff and students are very friendly and are always willing to helpLastly, many of the buildings are being renovated, which include the science building and library. With time the campus will look even better then it does now.I believe, don't knock it until you try it. It's corny, but come see the school for yourself. A major decision in life should not be based on hearsay and rantings of angry students. Every school has their hits and misses. |
