The worst thing they ever did, though, was the school tried to go Div 1 in basketball (from Div 111), got killed, and embarrassed themselves for a couple of years. After suffering the worst loss in NCAA history in basketball to Oklahoma, the university decided to abolish all athletics, rather than return to Div 111 (where the school belongs). Now, the athletic facilities are unused and there is absolutely nothing to do there (although they have been trying to make up for it in fine arts). I don't think it's working though, and the school should bring back some Div 111 sports… Academically, you will not find a better deal…good, solid faculty who all teach and are accessible. Not much of a college experience though, and a bad academic reputation (Northeasy). Cheap, not much fun, but much better than it's reputation. |
