The faculty is extremely supportive and accessible, the student body is a lot more down to earth than many of my friends' schools, and Burlington is absolutely gorgeous (the skiing is amazing as well). I am currently spending the year at the London School of Economics (#3 university in the world for social science), but surprisingly, the classes at UVM are more engaging, the professors easier to contact, and I feel like I was learning more in Vermont. More than anything else, this has made me realize how lucky I am to have ended up at UVM. This school has given me so much more than I expected. Also, I am in the Honors College, and it's a blast. If you get in, even if you're thinking about going to better colleges, you should definitely give UVM a thought. |
