I always did well in high school and found the classes at PCC incredibly easy. In fact, the freshman history course material is the same book A Beka uses for 10th grade history. No challenge. I thought I could bear all of the rules, but I couldn't. Skirts must be worn every day, you can't talk to guys outside of "unchaperoned areas" past 7 pm, and you can't be off campus past 10 pm, not to mention no movies and practically no music (only classical and choirs, really). Some info about the history program/advisors: Advisors are not the most helpful at PCC. Several people I know had advisors that didn't alert them to scheduling problems that made them graduate a semester to one year late. They will answer your questions if directly asked, "When do I need to take this class?" but will not go out of their way to help you. |
