As a result they have been forced to accept the very bottom of the barrel into the program. I am a Christian and at the start felt that I would benefit from a Christianity-based education. However, as the years have passed, I have come to realize that this University seems to be a degree farm rather than a University focused on learning. I've heard comments from several Christian people who are attending and have attended secular universities that the secular environment helped them to secure their faith. Before you make the decision to attend this school, take a serious look at how the students at the school feel about it. Many students in the School of Music feel the faculty are simply not of high enough quality for the tuition; many of the performing groups are very amateur in nature; rehearsals are often not a place to learn, they are a place for University promotion. Many of the other departments at CBU are in better state than the School of Music. The business, christian studies, and liberal studies are popular with the students, among others. In many cases, your money is better spent elsewhere. |
