The professors were helpful and pushed us to do our best. I really started to understand how many options I had if I worked hard. Students often had study groups and helped each other, especially in the more difficult classes. Valpo also prepared me extremely well for professional school. I found it much easier than many of my friends. College inspired me to travel, and I worked in a refugee camp in Thailand after I graduated from professional school.Now that I am one of the partners of a large practice, I find that giving back to the community by teaching interns and residents is increasingly important to me. I feel that I developed some selflessness at Valpo, and that had a big influence on who I became and what I did in life. |
