Too much emphasis in placed on propaganda and athletic dominance. Honestly, I'm disappointed in the quality of classes and instruction at UCLA. If you think about it, how many times have you seen the IVY league schools or even highly regarded European academic colleges/universities boast about their athletic departments? The answer: NONE.Aside from Crew/Rowing competitions, places like Cambridge and Oxford put more attention on academic success. From an academic standpoint, UCLA is definitely overrated. Its reputation is not justified. Unfortunately, I'm stuck here for the time being. If I could do it all over again, however, I would attend another U.C. school. I will never allow my kids apply or attend this dreadful place. |
