The individuals posting negative comments about UC Davis are either out of touch with reality or sitting next to a carbon monoxide leak. The fact is that this university is one of the best in California and the nation, and anyone claiming their experience was unsatisfactory was undoubtedly unsatisfactory them self. Visit UC Davis and fall in love with it just like nearly every student who sees this place. Don't take some jerk's word for it. I am absolutely astonished at some of the comments made about "closed mindedness" and "lack of resources." Any student at UC Davis that attests to either of these notions has their head under a rock. UC Davis is a model for progressive campuses in America and if anything has too many resources. Because of the strength of the Psychology department and an over abundance of opportunities, I had a job lined up in the field of psychology 3 months before I graduated. And I'm not alone. Most people I know not planning on going to grad school have jobs lined up as well. Davis is a happening place too, and unlike Berkeley and Goleta, it's safe and clean. Ask any student whether this is a social school and they'll tell you straight. You can go ahead and have fun turning into a number at Cal and UCLA, have the time of your life at the dump they call SB, or enjoy getting to know the walls of your dorm room in Irvine and SD. Or you can make the most of your college experience at a school like UC Davis. Visit and then look no further. You have my guarantee.
