When I was a student at FMU from 00-04 I had the opportunity to transfer to any school in the state of SC that I wanted too after my first year. FMU was my parents way of getting me used to the campus life. I enjoyed the atmosphere so much at FMU that I didnt want to go anywhere else. Look it all boils down to what you want to get out of your four years in college. If all you are looking for is a school with a great night life then look elsewhere, but if you are looking for a school that can prepare you for something other than keg stand parties and wet t-shirt contests than look no further. FMU has a great science program. It is a small school though and is limited in what it can provide for you with regards to research opportunities. Having said that I did two independant research projects at FMU in two years with two different faculty memebers. So the opportunities are there. Here is my opinion. There are people out there that wouldn't be happy even if they were going to Harvard or Stanford University. Why? Because for some reason they have issues with the school and they try and do their best to destroy it. I dont know what these peoples problems with the university "really' are but I can imagine it has something to do with a grade they got in several of their classes. Its as simple as this. You may or may not have deserved the "F" you got, but if your grades are borderline enough that an "F" is a possibility for you then you dont need to be on a website providing anybody with information about universities. You obviously dont know what you are talking about and FMU is a great school. For those of you reading these blogs and seriously using them to help you determine whether or not FMU is the school for you throw me an e-mail and I'll chat with you about it. ty_ _email_removed_ |
