The campus is pretty clean and all, but outside of football there is little to do and not many opportunities. That's all students can talk about, so if you aren't a fan of the team or the sport, you feel stuck because they don't stop talking about it even in the off-season. The students are fairly nice, but pretty closed-minded with their only really cares football and alcohol. Lincoln is a decent college town, but gets pretty boring. About the only other decent place within driving distance is Omaha, which is about the same as Lincoln but a tad bigger and a few more bars and restaurants. Outside of that, nothing but corn fields and farms for as far as the eye can see. Classes weren't anything groundbreaking or overly challenging. Professors seem helpful while at the same time reminding you how great they think they are. It's just not my favorite place. I'm looking at Colorado or Arizona as where I'll transfer to. If I'm going to pay a huge amount of money, I want more to do than drink and watch football. |
