I live in lower Fairfield county Connecticut and I turned my JWU finance degree into a six figure a year job in hedge funds by the time I turned 26. It sounds like most people who do not like the school because it is not the UCONN, BU or BC of the Northeast. Another reason seems to be that they only stuck around for a year. I agree the first year you see alot of trash on campus but after that year and later on you notice your classes thin out to the students who can hack it and are not there to party anymore. Not saying that partying does not happen. I enjoyed it more than anybody, it is college remember. Finally I will say that I have been given many compliments on JWU by corporate professionals, many with degrees from schools far superior than mine. What you learn in college is good for your first 6 months of work after college then your degree is useless at least in finance. Remember college is what you make of it. If you put the effort in you will get alot out of it. If you do not put in the effort you will not get much out of it. Just like any other college except an Ivy League. |
