DSU isn't in any way your top tier establishment for higher education. Staff can be a bit incompetent, Fin aid and housing do tend to make alot of mistakes, and sometimes you may get the feeling that you're a little unsafe. With that being said, I think people are to focused on the negitive aspects of the university. What I see as a sophomore living on campus is a school making great strides to better itself. Many new buildings are being erected as well as many extracurricular activies to get involed in are being created. Our athletic programs are sure to created some excitement and raise the level of hornet pride. I am engaged in many activites, I've made great friends, I love my classes, and my professers. My overall expierance is an awesome one. Thus I look past all that horribly wrong with the school. I guess I'm saying it is what you make it. I see the school being a very nice place to be and a couple of years, as long as the students, faculty, and staff all do their part in taking a little bit of pride in where they learn/work. Go HORNETS! |
