Before anyone starts to look at this and say how can a bright student give such bad ratings to VCU, you have to understand the whole deal here. In high school I had a 3.4 GPA and graduated in the top 20% of my class. I applied to VCU as a biology / pre-dental major because I like dentistry. I even had 6 dual enrollment credits from a community college that had transferred over. Now I'm a student at VCU with a 3.0 average that is seemingly harder to maintain everyday. I picked this school because it is not far from my house and I can live at home to get better grades; fat chance of that happening. Professors here are horrible for the most part, although I've had a chance to have a couple good ones who really care about the students. They love to raise the price of school, it's gone up about $1000 this year, and I'm sure it will go up again soon. I would say look into another university before going here because you may have luck somewhere else. MCV is the only dental school in VA and since it's tied to VCU it's supposed to better your chances of getting in by going to VCU. I'm a pre-dental student looking at ways to get out fast before I don't have a shot period.
