I ended up at KSC after a family emergency brought me back to N.H. from my first choice college. Once I left that school, the scholarship I'd been receiving was no longer available to me, and as an in-state student I decided to try KSC. The cost is great for your value, especially for in-state students. Campus life is vibrant and varied, and anyone who says otherwise has probably partied too much and become bored of the bar scene downtown. Frats and house parties are big, but there is plenty to do if that's not exactly your scene.

TIP: All concerts and shows (including campus groups AND traveling artists) are $5 with a student ID at the Redfern Arts Center… check out the schedule each semester to find a few gems. Also check out the Putnam theater near the Redfern for free movies, often on the arty side.

The "city" of Keene has plenty of good restaurants, shops, and a variety of bars and pubs downtown. Occasional live music, events at the Colonial Theatre, and Main Street-wide events like Pumpkin Fest keep things interesting. Brewbaker's and Prime Roast are great local coffee shops.

LITTLE KNOWN FACT: All of Main Street has free wireless internet. Many businesses also provide their own, which may be more reliable on certain days.

My best advice is to use Ratemyprofessors.com to check out which sections you want to take at KSC. There are some really great profs. here so have fun with your electives, and definitely ask others for recommendations—I'm sure the majority of students will be able to tell you one or two professors you should take a class with before you graduate.

KSC has a very strong math program. It's hard to go wrong with the professors who teach math major courses, and they do often switch up which courses they teach.

TRY TO STUDY ABROAD! Remember that you're going to a school that's not so expensive (it's all relative) and that you will pay that same price to study at a university abroad, through KSC. With the dollar being so weak, it's so worth it. I studied in England (U. of Wolverhampton) for the price of KSC tuition, even though the exchange rate was $2 to the pound and everything else was about twice as expensive there once I translated it to dollars.
