It is a Professional school leading you to a Professional degree. Where else can an 18 year old untrained, unskilled high school senior enter an intensive curriculum and exit 6 years later as a Doctor of Pharmacy; a medical Professional; authority & master of the subject, commanding respect from peers and compensation in the real world? As an ACP graduate, I am called upon by doctors, nurses, schools, colleges and patients to provide drug information & care. I make hundreds of decisions on a daily basis that can affect patient care. Did I party at ACP and waste time? Some, but not much. I made sacrifices and am satsfied with those I made. The rewards of a satisfying career in a respected Profession has served me well, for many years. There has been no economic downturn for me. I am proud to be a Pharmacist, and ACP graduate. Receiving an intensive ACP education prepares you for the demands of the career. The "spoon-feeding" of high school education does not exist at ACP. You are there to learn, absorb, grow, mature. If you can't hack it, then a move to a "real" college is probably best. Don't apply to ACP if you've been rejected from other schools, rather enter with a desire to learn, dedication to the subject, a determination to be the best you can be in an ever-changing & dynamic profession, motivated to tackle the subject matter head-on. I NEVER get tired of all there is to learn! In this world you get what you pay for - you cannot become a Professional at just any college. There lies the difference. |
