Therefore, it was between this and Mills College in California. Texas Woman's University changed my life for the following reasons:Gave me a voice. Gave me plenty of opportunities to show and express my ideas. Gave me opportunities for leadership. This led me to be responsible for my own choices. Whenever you go out into the real world, all you do are make choices. Choice after choice after choice. I feel TWU gave me a platform to help me realize that everything starts at the beginning. Every single thing is made up by someone. It all starts with an idea. I've heard this a million times, but TWU made me REALIZE it. I feel like my confidence in the world has completely done a 180 because of TWU's approach, compared to the 'sit down, don't speak, listen to the teacher' previous learning experiences I had throughout education. SNORE!TWU convinced me that I was just as able as any CEO to do anything. Anything, I just have to make choices and inform/educate myself. I still have the connections I made here at this school. The only weaknesses I would point out is not writing enough papers and/or familiarity, exposure to economics. This is a VERY special school and everyday I spend in the real world, I look at a leader or CEO and realize this guy is making this stuff up even as he speaks. Before I went to TWU, I would never have been so confident and would have thought "this guy is better than me" or "I can't do what he's doing".I highly recommend TWU. It completely and totally changed my life. I didn't accept it in the beginning, but by the time I left, I got it. I got what they were doing, and it's fantastic. Just let it happen. |
