Sac City is the nicest campus in the Sacramento area. It is also the oldest campus (1916) and there is a sense of history. I transferred here from the University of Nevada Reno and chose to attend Sac City for two reasons. The first reason was that I found Sac State's campus to be utterly repulsive and filled with buildings from the soulless architectural era of the 1970's. Reason two is that SCC is closer to the downtown area than Sac State. Sacramento City College is in one of Sacramento's most historic and desirable neighborhoods, Land Park. The 3-mile radius park is right across the street. For your Anthropology courses you even get to walk to the zoo! There is a sense of community and an urban feel on the campus. This is also the only Campus in the entire Sacramento Metro region that has a light rail station. The people here are friendly, open-minded and if you fit this description then you will have a great experience at SCC. |
