Statistical Analyzer:

I am a Film/Television major in Tisch and I absolutely love it. Tisch is a really positive place to learn your craft. The teachers have all worked in the industry and many are award winners but you would never know it by how approachable and helpful they are. There is a lot of freedom within the departments to pursue exctly what you want to do without much red tape. You might expect there to be a lot of competition among students but in my experience, everyone wants to help each other and the connections made during school carry into the professional world. As for the rest of NYU, I think that there is a great diversity of people and that everyone can find their place. Most people are friendly and willing to meet new people so just go for it. The dating scene is what it is but you live in NYC so venture out and meet people of the opposite sex that way. Most of the dorms are pretty nice, some more so than others, but all of them are better than what you will find at other schools. Probably my favorite thing about NYU is everyone is so ambitious and doing awesome shit with their lives and that only makes you want to better yourself. NYU…best school ever!!!!
