I found the administration to be helpful although somewhat swamped in unneccessary processes and requirements. The faculty for the most part are smart and helpful, and in my experience they want you to do well and they will facilitate your success. Compared to nearby FAU which is much more expensive, I felt lucky as my friends were tossed into 300-person lecture classes with varying degrees of being able to understand their professors (not just language-wise, but what the professors wanted academically!). My classes here are small—under 30-40. I really like that, and I get individual attention. I spent a semester at a large state school and learned next to nothing. At PBCC, though it does not extend past 2-year requirements, I actually learned everything taught in my classes. |
