Statistical Analyzer:

Deciding to attend JMU was the best decision I've ever made in my life. JMU has given me the opportunity to grow and become a better person and to excel in my chosen major. As a freshman, I have more research experiences, volunteer work, and extracurricular activities than my two best friends (one attending an Ivy League and one attending another top public school in VA). Every single faculty here treats me as a person, not as a number.

The Honors Program is phenomenal as well, especially the opportunity to do a senior thesis.

The sports atmosphere here is awesome, not to mention the marching band is AMAZING!! The only thing about JMU that doesn't appeal to me is the large party scene, but people here never pressure others to drink and, as a whole, are very respectful of those who choose not to partake.
