And guess what? They haven't grown up at all. This is an environment built for people who want college to be the best time of their lives.Do you really want the height of your existence to be cramming for exams and drinking 'til you puke on weekends?FACT: 95% of conversations in Madison begin with I was soooo drunk last weekend…Everyone here is attempting to live out some juvenile manifestation of the "college experience." The few students that seem interesting are just annoying extroverts in a hipster uniform purchased from Urban Outfitters/American Apparel on State St. Don't be fooled by their cool flannel, at heart they are the same.If you are in introvert with a quiet enthusiasm for the arts, steer clear of this university. There are some nice resources and my professors have been pretty nice. But, it is not worth the awful environment and terrible student body. I guess this review is pretty bitter and unnecessary, but I really needed to vent… I just wasted two years of my life and thousands of dollars attending what was supposed to be a "great school."If you are interested in the arts, seriously consider applying somewhere else, anywhere else. UW-Madison is a creative dead-end |
