The coursework is flexible and focused on actually learning something, not just grades. I ended up doing a lot of great projects and travel while in school; I spent a semester in Italy and a summer in Spain. I ended up with two great internships, including one at the arts foundation where I work now. I just liked the student and envirnoment at New College. They were all incredibly smart, open, interesting and diverse, though a few were a little pretentiously bohemian. The faculty were immersed in our education. The campus is located right on the water on Sarasota Bay.The only downside is that Sarasota is a retirement-area town, so it's a bit slow. But the weather is great and the beaches rock. |
