The dorms on the South side you cannot control the temperature of the room. Off campus you want to live in The Fountains. Like any college UWF nickel and dimes you for everything. The Nautilus Market is seldom worth the price. Yeah, it is an all you care to eat cafeteria, but usually not worth eating. The only safe bets to eat are the sandwich line, grill line, and the Mexican food line. The other two lines are eat at your own risk, as sometimes the food is good other times you feel like puking. One of those lines always serves some kind of chicken dish. The food in the Argo Galley is fine, so is Sub Generation, located in the College of Professional Studies. I will say UWF has a great gym and juice bar. The only downside is the gym is closed on Fridays. UWF actually has great student organizations, so you actually want to be involved. I'm in the co-ed, international business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi. The social life could be better, though. There's plenty of things to do at night, but there could be more during the afternoon. I enjoy the small class sizes and the Professors willingness to help and accommodate. Professors are more than happy to sit down and talk about your academic progress, assignments, subject matter, ect. On occasion, some will hang out with you outside of school. Professors actually teach, rather than their teacher assistant. The only other downside is the city of Pensacola. I was born and have spent my whole life in this city, so I know my way around. The only things to do in Pensacola are drinking, the beach, cafes, Ozone's Pizza, Cordova Mall, and go to parades. The night clubs and parties around here are top notch. If you like partying and drinking, Pensacola is the place for you. |
