I had awesome profs and still keep in touch today. There are so many opportunities to get involved at CMU - take them. I worked for the student newspaper, did PR for my sorority and did two internships that the journalism department helped me find. I know it is what everyone says - but get involved with campus. It really made a difference for me when it came to finding that first job. I work more with marketing and ads than newspapers now, but a CMU alum helped get me my current job too. There are so many CMU grads (I think I read 600,000 globally) and sometimes that connection makes the difference! |
