Okay, I don't like to be the barrier of bad news but VCU is horrible. I am not a negative person and I do not like to be negative. What I am about to say is the honest truth and this is only for the good of those who are considering this school I must say when I first attended VCU I thought it was a great school the people friendly, the facilities were clean, my advisor was awesome, and they had a bunch of activites. So I did what I could in between work and school I hit up a couple activities to get used to school and try to meet new faces. I really gave vcu a try.

There are some advantages to the school. The campus is nice to be in an urban setting. They do try to keep you busy as far as getting involved in clubs, organizations, and sports etc. There fitness center at the Siegal center is nice, not all colleges have nice gyms attached with a cafe so that's cool. The professors are alright, they dont hold your hand which is good because its time to get into the real world. they try to make you walk on your own two feet can't complain about that, I actually needed that. VCU is also changing something, for example adding more restaurants, more facilities, etc whatever is needed for the students :)

Now for the disadvantages…Okay I will stay professional lol..Okay so within about 2 to 3 weeks thats when I began to see the real VCU after all the happy orientation was over that when I began to notice a made a mistake. After numerous times and trying to put all that I can in my college experience it was worthless trying at VCU. First, I must say the school is very "clicky" everyone kind of belongs to click here. There is no independency. VCU is like a fake color to me, why do I say that? Well, everyone and I mean almost everyone that attends this school is from Virginia, so alot of the students come straight out of high school with their "clicks" and go right to VCU believe me it's true. Also VCU accepts anyone and everyone! No lie. So there is nothing challenging about this school at all. I love challenges and I need to be in a school that will test my knowlegde but VCU is nothing more than a large community college, and not trying to be mean but its the truth. Now for the programs if your not going to VCU for medical or art than don't got to VCU at all. There mass communications programs is horrible they didnt do study abroad last year and was dying for that! They only care about the med students and art of cours. And please dont let anyone lie to you about richmond, THERE IS NOTHING TO DO IN RICHMOND! THERE ARE NO OPPORTUNITES IN RICHMOND! please do not come here looking for advancement you will get no where. Its boring down here, they do the same things all the time! Lets see the same horrible looking clubs, which aren't that many, ummm what else oh the malls but the best one is the 30 to min away and thats it. If you come here you will only fine the little bit excitment at VCU and then you will become like the rest of the students and form a "click". There is alot of homeless people all around campus robbing students and last year a student was shot. Its not a safe school at it ghetto and im not exaggerating. Well I can keep going on and on! WHATEVER YOU DO DONT COME HERE. I am leaving that you lord on my way to a better school and that school is NEW YORK UNIVERSITY where the truth is!!
