I remember looking at this website when I was doing research about SCAD and thinking - Oh my, is it that bad?

No, it's not. While some people I know choose to transfer out of SCAD, most love it here. We just really don't have time to browse the web giving the college reviews because SCAD is not an easy school. It's a great school, if you want to study design and you're not afraid to work for it.
