When I first came to George Mason, I was so excited because I thought that since it was so close to Washington DC that the students on campus would be very active and aware. Unfortunately I found out that nobody cares or does anything unless they are in Greek life. Greek life is not for me, so I tried to get involved in clubs around campus and found the same five faces everywhere i went. I was very disappointed. It is true that Mason is a commuter school and it is obvious by the lack of activities on campus. The try with their "Every Freakin Friday" activities but they are usually really lame and nobody goes. The classes at Mason are barely average. I'm in the honors program and I still do not feel challenged. I usually have to put up with stupid classes that I don't learn anything in. This university feels more like a summer camp than a school, except it is even less fun. |
