Wofford is a big adjustment if the incoming student is not used to an upper-middle class, conservative atmosphere. After a couple weeks of getting used to it, I fell in love with everything about Wofford. Before enrolling, though, students should know that the majority of the students on campus are involved in greek life or athletics. Greek life is a major part of the campus, and the fraternity row is the main source of weekend entertainment. The senior housing at Wofford is exceptional (known as "the village"), and it also adds to the weekend entertainment. There are always band parties and theme parties going on around campus. Most of the people at Wofford are studious, very friendly, and a lot of fun. The faculty at Wofford also go above and beyond to get to know students on a one-on-one basis while providing a challenging yet interesting curriculum. They are always also very accommodating to individual students. |
