Wright State University..ahhh, Wright State. I'm mainly going to be focusing on the Music Department here… Faculty: Pretty awesome for the most part. Real accessible, friendly, helpful, totally willing to help you or set up meetings..very good faculty. This is a very musical school…I mean it DRENCHES musicality…it is stressed in everything that you do, EVERYTHING..faculty make sure that you understand HOW to play musically, why it's important, etc. I would honestly say that Wright State does have a very fine music department…and its only getting better. I think that it gets a bad rep because of the University that it is connected with..but it is a very fine department.Oh, and the social life SUCKS. Really, its a commuter school (it does have dorms and apartments and what not), but no one really hangs out…go to class and go home. That part of it sucks. It you're looking to meet new people…this isn't it..or at least you'll meet them and not really hang out with them. Good education though, good music department…just sucky social life. Practice!!Outside of the Music Department (and Creative Arts Center in general) WSU sucks. |
