I came to OSU with high expectations, unfortunately, those have quickly dissipated. On the surface, the school and people seem nice enough, predominantly white and hillbilly-ish. But I digress. The disturbing thing is what boils under the surface here at OSU and perhaps Oklahoma in general. The people here try to play off very folksy and kind, but there is definitely a strong semblance of racism here. The white folks that run the show like to condescend and put down minorities- blacks, asians, hispanics and clearly treat them as second class citizens. DO NOT TRUST the outward "friendliness" of anyone here for they are either trying to use you for their own gain or simply trying to put on a nice face while on the inside laughing at your "non-white" second class appearance. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL AND STATE!
