Take advantage of the advisor to whom you are assigned—that person has valuable info about picking classes and excelling in your major that you really can't afford to miss. Oh, and take plenty of classes over at Columbia. I remember a graduate level writing class with the writer Nicholas Christopher and a grad level poetry class with Marilyn Hacker that were just phenomenal. |
