Loved so many things about it. The campus itself was gorgeous-green, ocean view and deer everywhere. The professors rocked! They were so helpful, knowledgable and went out of their way to help the students if needed. I learned so much at this school. It made me want to attend school forever. The students are not as hippiesh as everyone makes it sound. There are probably only 5% "hippie" types. Also, what college doesn't have weed around? I think the ppl who wrote comments like that just bought into the stereotype of UCSC and perceived that image while attending. The people are awesome and town is fun for college kids. People are mostly down to earth with inevitable exceptions. The schoolwork was challenging and not just a bunch of exams to regurgitate and forget info like it is at CSU Schools. I would go back in a heartbeat if they offered my major. I miss UCSC so much. |
