As far as my program (audio technology and business), the audio class has been absolutely awesome. The audio professors are very skilled in their fields, and in one semester, I have already learned a lot. The thing is that I have taken it upon myself to research further into the topic on my own time, so don't expect to magically become a millionaire music business executive based on their program. You will not make it anywhere with this college unless you put some effort in on your own end (which I guess is how college works anyway, though). But regardless, good program. As far as the residential life, forget it. Be prepared to face some scary thoughts if you decide to live here. There is absolutely nothing to do on campus (and I do not exaggerate, because I try to participate in everything they do, and It still amounts to nothing relevant to the school). I guess one thing I am great-full for is that in my boredom, I have gotten way better at bass, but the social interaction is just not there. Everyone knows it too. As for administration, it's pretty despicable. I have been routed to one department only to be routed right back to where I came from, then routed elsewhere only to end up where I was told to go in the first place. They will drive you in circles, and you probably will not end up solving your problem/question. There is no nurse either. They will just dump you off in the ER with a taxi they randomly call. My friend had to experience this, and had a drunk taxi driver! They don't really care too much about the students. But I have to say that I wouldn't have traded this experience in my life for anything else, because it taught me a lot of things about stupidity and staying sane amongst it all. I can also honestly see myself going somewhere good in life because of the audio tech department. So if you think Five Towns is for you, try it out at your own risk, because it is definitely not for everyone |
