Texas Tech is one of the rare instances where location, a little bit of history, and large a population to draw upon create the perfect party university.

The campus is beautiful, you won't find a prettier campus.

People are all very friendly. However, the school is just about as diverse as a George Straight concert. Or more specifically as the suburbs surroundings Houston and Dallas, as that is where EVERYBODY at Tech is from.

Greek life DOMINATES…once more in case you don't understand, DOMINATES Texas Tech like no other university I've ever seen.

They're all the same, party loving, sex crazed, just like to get fucked up type of people. The greek life is very hierarchical, but the payoffs are definitely worth it at every level. Known around campus, parties ALL THE TIME, HOT GIRLS (and I guess guys) always guaranteed at parties.

If you want to do Greek life, this is definitely the University for you.

Unfortunately, if you're not into Greek life be prepared to be snobbishly referred to as GDI (God Damn Independent). Greek's run the school. Most of the hot girls are Greek and if you're not, you're welcome to scrap the leftovers of those not involved in Greek life.

Greeks are your stereotypical childlike judgmental, super rich, super snobby, closet racist, look how fancy we are, type. Needless to say, and hard to believe, they are mostly all pretty good guys are girls once you get to know them for the individual they are.

Workload: If you're in the Arts & Sciences it's a breeze. Seriously people overhype the work to make themselves look better for doing bad.

Lubbock the city: It's what you make of it. If the city of Lubbock is stopping you from coming to Tech, it shouldn't. Everything is centralized around the university, and the city itself is not THAT bad to where you need to isolate yourself to only school surroundings. But if you truly wanted to you could and still lead a normal university life.

School Spirit: The best. Rushing the field against UT made my decision to come here. Atmosphere around campus and at games during football season is ELECTRIC!

In conclusion: If you fall under any of these categories you'd love going to Texas Tech (party animal, conservative, greek lover, likes one night stands, upper class white male or female, bible beater, just love to get fucked up and have a great time) - Then you'd love Tech.

I myself, do not fall into any of those categories and I still had a great time, met lots of great friends, and wouldn't trade my experience here for anything.
