I can definately say I would not recommend this school for prospective students. While the professors seemed sufficiently competent, the structure of some classes as well as the degree program overall seemed lacking in educational and more importantly real world merit. Almost as though they were somewhat thrown together haphazardly without any clear and tangible strategy toward an improved proficiency in any topic or subject. But neither of these is my main complaint. It is the poor student support structure within the university which I see as its biggest detriment. It seems as thought I was constatntly jumping through hoops around every corner just to structure my educational plan, often taking more effort that the course load. There was often inconsitsancies in administrative answers and assistance, and it was at times difficult to locate the person who could even assist in a given matter. there were several instances where poor administrative advice resulted in my having taken unnecessary courses, being told options were available which were not, and being told options were not available when they were. These are only vauge examples of the many bad experiences I had with the UIC administration, and are the principal reason I would not recommend this university to prospective students. ITS NOT WORTH THE MONEY YOU SAVE!!!
