I am an out of state student and everyone already had their group of friends on the first day. You will also be very bored if you grew up by a city or a populated suburb, as there is nothing around here. There is no town or clubs to hang out around. If you can go to house parties everyday for the rest of your college career, then this school has the social life for you. That being said, JMU has good academics and i have found my classes to be interesting for the most part. The majority of my teachers were helpful and friendly. The students are also very nice for the most part, but yes its true there are definately more girls than guys at this school. Overall a decent school if the surrounding area and atmosphere here are something you can deal with. |
