ODU launched my career in logistics and I am a proud graduate. Concerning the negative comments about the crime in the surrounding area I wonder if those who made those statements have ever heard of Columbia University, Boston College & Boston University, Harvard, Temple…. those are "highly rated" schools located in less than desirable areas. Such is life. It is funny to me that so many think ODU is unique in that way. There are plenty of young folks, much youger than I, that go to ODU and they value different things and frame their world differently than perhaps you do. You are going to college to learn and if you focus on doing that you will be successful. If you are going to college to party and have fun than you have not yet grown up and/or matured to understand that you are still in the formative years of your life. Make the most of your academic experience no matter what university you attend! |
