After getting weight-listed from almost every school I applied to, I decided to go to Marist - empty of any excitement. After spending a few days on campus, I absolutely fell in love and have been in love ever since. The people are great! Of course, you are going to find some snooty, uptight kids (like you will at any school), but there is a niche here for everyone. I found myself a wonderful group of down-to-earth people just like me. Extra-curricular activities are a MUST on campus because that is where you will meet people like you… and there is so much to choose from you will have a hard time just picking a few. There is something for everyone on campus, whether it is day or nighttime activities. Every semester since I have been here, the college has continued to make improvements according to student suggestions. Your classes are on the smaller side (30ish people, sometimes less) so your professors really get to know you (I guess some people can see this as a bad thing). If you are looking for a college experience where you intend to be proactive in getting involved both academically and socially, then you will thrive at Marist. |
