Tulane University has a good name and it rides on that. The majority of its appeal is to prospective students and once they have you the amount of time and effort they put into keeping you happy is next to none. The advisers change frequently, the longest I had the same one was for two semesters. The housing situation is terrible and only seems to be getting worse. It takes too long to get anything fixed in your room and the cooling system regularly breaks. Everything you try to get done you personally have to take your paperwork from department to department crossing the campus to make sure all the appropriate people sign and approve anything. This is after you are paying $45,000+ to be here. You might think that I am just cynical about my bad experience but ,many of my friends had the same problems. I am not saying that I did not enjoy my time and learn a lot but I did resent everything that the university did for us.
