It's a big school, so you won't get much hand-holding. If you are not self-motivated, it would be easy to skip classes and the professors would not notice (your grade would suffer, though). If you seek out professors, they are very friendly and willing to help. In the sciences, at least, I have rarely had a bad lecturer. Unfortunately with rating websites like this one, it tends to be the disgruntled students that leave comments, so take everything with a grain of salt. Advice: If you have the math background, take Physics 9, not Physics 7. That is my one complaint here: the physics class for life science majors (the 7 series) is taught in a really weird way. |
