This school is very unique. The academic programs are designed to teach skills in the first year and finish an associates degree in the second. I struggle to think of a teacher I genuinely did not like; in fact, I loved most of my teachers. The classes are designed to offer support and challenges to any level of student, though homework tends to be light except during finals times. The student body caused some of the stranger experiences of my life. Gossip and rumors spread faster at Landmark than any other place I have observed. This is also fueled by the large variety of mood, personality and social disorders that often accompany learning disabilities.One thing that is somewhat underground for Landmark is the massive drug culture on this tiny campus. Drug abuse has a higher rate of substance abuse, so this is to be expected in an exclusively LD college. This leads to LMC being a dry campus, which is kind of a drag for any students of age.If you apply to Landmark, make sure you have a thick skin, you'll need it. But know that you will gain some good skills for the rest of your education. |
