I love SBCC! The school is gorgeous; right next to the beach with beautiful flowers and tress surrounding the area. I had an excellent experience here.

Good: The academics are challenging, but not too terribly difficult. If you apply yourself and not be afraid to ask questions, you will do well. Like I said, the school is build on a cliff by the sea, so it is a short walk from campus to the beach. The weather is pretty much always enjoyable, never too hot, never too cold. I've taken naps on the beach between classes. It's near downtown, so plenty of things to do and see. The people are very good looking and stylish. With all their flaws, you can meet some amazing people here. Especially international students!There is a TON of diversity here.

Bad: Because of SBCC's laid back atmosphere, warm weather, and beaches, it can be distracting; hard to concentrate. Some students (like me) on some days will just cut class to surf, skate, or just chill at the beach. Even when the students/people are really attractive and typical laid-back so cal, the people can be friendly, but still don't give a damn. There's a lot of students, so expect quickly filled up classes and parking. Both are difficult to get into if you aren't early.

I'm not sure how it is now, because of CA's budget cuts and bad economy. A lot of CA students are transferring out-of-state. As I continued into SBCC, there seemed to be less and less students every semester.

I'm currently attending an out-of-state University and plan to go back to SBCC to finish my general education to transfer to a UC or CSU. It's just that amazing!
