At this particular "academic institution", one just views people as almost identical to one another; the student body here is not diverse, the people are uppity and self-consumed with their own priorities, and there is way too much of an emphasis placed on social events. Every other day there is a party, a campaign, an off-campus event, downtown city clubs that students (even freshman) scurry off to. As a student who maintained an incredibly high GPA, was involved in community service events, and received great recommendations from two remarkable teachers ( math and science teachers) from her high school, not to mention performed at the acceptable SAT level here at PC, the college was not a benefit to her. The school could use more input from specific academic groups on campus, yet there seems to be a wide range of social groups pertaining to the Friars basketball team, 'Things for Thursday', and PC after hours(too much partying/ drinking- unsafe)—we have had a few mishaps this year: incidents on and off campus due to too much partying at this Party College- play on words. Instead of playing on basketball, why not play on extra classwork assignments? |
