I certainly thought so when I was a nursing major. But once I changed my major I was unimpressed with what the school had to offer. IF you are into becoming a leader this is a perfect place! You have the op. to immediately lead people. as a sophomore I was on the executive board of a major campus organization. I've learned a lot.THE PEOPLE: It was difficult for me to find friends. I am shy but by becoming a student leader, gave me more exposure to more people. I kind of gave up on looking for friends and became more comfortable with being by myself, speaking randomly to the many people I work/ live with. My room mate and I shared a special bond. I stayed in a dorm 2 years. Highly suggest it. SMART KIDS: IF you want a challenge PLEASE PLEASE join the honor's college! You can conduct your own research. There are many bright students and you only need a 3.2 to get in. possibilities to stand out as a student are endless because unfortunately many students are not going to go the extra mile.**Why I'm transfering: I'm no longer a nursing major. I found the campus somewhat depressing, as many students transfered to uta because their grades fell. AND I wanted a bigger/true(er) college experience. as many students are commuters and seem a little scared to talk to one another (perhaps I'm bias b/c I am shy) I like to play with people and I had a few joking buddies. so that was positive. Overall I got a great opp. at UTA and look forward to my next U. |
