Biola is a great university! Most people come from a Christian background and are super friendly. There is some closed-mindedness, but for the most part, it's okay. La Mirada isn't big, but it has the things you need. If you want to have fun, you have to take advantage of Los Angeles and other places around. There isn't really anything fun to do in La Mirada. I would definitely recommend having a car while you're here. If you don't, it's torture.

The nursing majors work a lot, but I heard that it's a great program so I guess that's a good thing. Torrey students kind of have their own clan and keep to themselves, but they're usually friendly. I'm a film major, and think it's an okay program but definitely progressing. It all depends on what you make out of it. If you get involved on campus, you'll have fun. If you stay stuck in your dorm, then you'll probably wonder why nobody talks to you. Everyone is ridiculously friendly though and people like getting into other people's business. I love how it's a small enough school so you can meet a lot of people, but it sometimes is a downside because you see the same people EVERY DAY. That includes people you don't really want to see.

The professors truly care about students and are more than willing to take time out of their schedules to meet with them. My only complaints would be the financial aid here SUCKS. A lot of people are constantly struggling with money and finding job. The job situation here is also awful. It took my roommate a YEAR to find a job on-campus. It definitely helps if you have connections beforehand. Also, the parking on lower campus is pretty bad. The parking spaces are ridiculously small and fill up easily. The campus is also pretty safe and you can feel safe walking to your dorm at 3 in the morning. A lot of people here also aren't into sports. It's a very artsy school. If you're a jock of some sort, a lot of people probably stereotype you into your own jock click. Nobody goes to the athletic games except maybe the APU vs. BU basketball game.

I would definitely recommend this school if you want to go to a friendly Christian University and don't mind getting involved. It's all about what you make with it.
