It's located in maybe the best part of California, right on the Central Coast. Besides location, it is epic for it's social scene. The partying at Cal Poly is prominent but not overwhelming. Every Wednesday-Sunday night you can find a party on Hathway St. or one of its neighboring streets such as: Slack Street, Fredericks, Orange, Stafford, Bond or Monta Vista. Other than partying, the City of San Luis Obispo has a lot to offer. It has tons of shopping, and great restaurants. Otherwise my advice to new coming freshman is: watch out in the dorms, the RA's are out to get you. Really try to meet fellow students during WOW, because those in your group might become some of your best friends. And lastly, try to make the most of the downtown scene during your freshman year. Being on campus 24/7 can really get old, so just try to walk around and check out what the marvelous town has to offer. |
