It was my last choice of schools to go to and somehow I ended up here, but I'm so happy I did. I am a double major in International Relations and French, with minors in Spanish and Women's Studies, and I am a member of the Honors Program. All of my advisors are excellent. I lived in Lenape my first year and I loved it, but this coming year I am moving into a suite with my friends. It is generally easy to meet people here and there is usually something to do. When the weather is nice and warm you are guaranteed to find people on the quad. When it snows you may even be a part of a considerably large snowball fight. The food isn't perfect but it is improving. The campus is currently undergoing a lot of construction and renovations. As far as the workload, that depends on your professor, and if applicable your major. The town of New Paltz is quite hippy-ish and is a stereotypical college town, but it is very nice nonetheless. On the weekends there are parties to go to if that's your thing. If not, the school hosts other events for you. These range from hypnotists to comedians to movies and so on. I completely recommend New Paltz. |
