From my personal experience, I've noticed that everyone that encounters Pacific either loves it, or hates it. The atmosphere of campus is warn and welcoming. Though the school is very clique-ish, there is a clique for almost everyone. There are a few people, however, I always saw by themselves. The professors are a hit and miss, and I definitely expected a lot more individual attention from them. A good portion of them are heartless, and do not care for what you are dealing with outside of class, and are unreachable even during their supposed office hours. The food at the DUC is generally disgusting, and really fattening. I personally gained 10lbs from freshman year alone. However, if I had utilized the fitness center more, I'm sure that 10 lbs would have only been 5. Although the campus is kept beautiful all year round, sprinklers go off at random times at night, and the leaf blower guy wakes everyone up. EVERYONE. Even during your afternoon power nap! Overall, Pacific is a pretty decent school, but because of the expensive tuition, I, among many of my classmates, are unable to come back for a second year. So if your family does not have a ton of money, and you cannot collect tuition money otherwise through grants and scholarships, do not bother attending. The education you get just is not worth all of the debt.By the way, there is a very, very small African American student body. A few members of the BSU on campus are not even black. |
