I came in completely unprepared for the very wealthy privileged student body that attends Dickinson and the very ignorant attitude of some of the students here. Another person said on this site that going to Dickinson will make you question what you want in a friend and that is most definitely true. It's possible to find some amazing people here and I most definitely have but they're not the easiest to find. I had to really evaluate what sort of people I wanted to surround myself with and then make the effort to go out and meet those sorts of people. If you're not into the mainstream Greek system mentality that's prevalent on this campus this can be really hard to do. It may take you a while to warm up to Dickinson but if you can weather the storm and meet some of the amazing people who attend this college I can almost guarantee you'll come to love it. I know I have. |
