Sure, some of the people can come across as arrogant and "holier than thou", but in my experience it is pretty avoidable. I'm a Christian, but I don't believe in pretending to be better than anyone or hold myself in higher regard than non-Christians, and I feel like you can probably find friends here no matter what you believe. The thing that gets to me sometimes is the setting. The town has one stoplight, so when you want to find something outside of the school to do Charlotte is usually the best bet. You should definitely visit just so you know what your surroundings will be like. All in all, if you want a big state school feel, don't come here. If you want a smaller, private school feel with more attention from professors, then you should come here. |
